English and Communication Department
Love literature? Enjoy writing or public speaking? Interested in film or English as a second language?
The English and Communication Department is the home for courses in all these fields along with rhetoric, human communication and mass communication. As a student in any plan of study, you will take these classes as part of your first and second year General Education requirements. The department also offers introductory and intermediate literature classes for students that are interested in engaging their love of literature and the sublime. For students that are interested in honing their writing skills, the department offers introductory and intermediate fiction and non-fiction writing classes. And for students interested in learning about different aspects of communication, whether between people, online, or on the page and screen, there are a range of communication course offerings.
