Part of the Dr. Booker T. Devaughn Lecture Series, this interactive lecture and conversation will explore the genderverse – discussing societal norms and pressures, gender roles and expectations, LGBTQ+ issues, and how we can build better relationships in our community.
This event will be held by Robin P. McHaelen, MSW, the founder and former Executive Director of True Colors, Inc. She has co-authored two books, a book chapter and several articles on LGBTQ+ youth and is a nationally recognized thought leader. She is the recipient of numerous State and National awards. Robin is an adjunct professor at Central Connecticut State University, teaching intergroup communications and human sexuality. She was recently appointed by Connecticut’s Governor Lamont to the newly formed Hate Crimes Commission.
