General Studies, A.S.

Current Residence :

Lebanon

Degree/Certificate:

General Studies, A.S.

Year of Graduation:

2021

I wanted to earn my degree because:

Going out of high school I did not know what I wanted to do with my future. I knew I wanted to go to college but wasn't sure what major to choose. I went to Three Rivers in hopes of figuring out what interested me and I then got motivated to get my associates in General Studies so when I went to my dream college I had more experience under my belt then just going without my degree finished.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My family and friends who supported my decision to come here, my coworkers, and Jodi Osbourne!

I’d like to give a shout out to:

Shout out to my family, friends i've made along the way, Professor Fionnuala Darby Hudgens, and Alycia Ziegler. Alycia has helped me in so many ways whether it is pushing me to go beyond in community college or helping me through any troubles I had. Alycia not only was my boss in Student Programs but also became one of my good friends who I will always remember when looking back at my time here.

What I like best about my degree program and what it means to me is:

General Studies gives me the option to explore different topics and take classes that not only go towards my credit but also interest me. Along the way I found my love for Psychology through Pamala Carroll's General Psych class and from there I knew I would pursue that major in my next college.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at Three Rivers Community College was:

Professor Fionnula's FYE class, getting involved with events on campus, working at SPO, and being so close to home.

Clubs, volunteer work, organizations that I participated in while at Three Rivers included:

I participated in Video Game Club, and I also worked for SPO (highly recommend).

I plan to use my degree to:

Use in my resume for future jobs or colleges.

Now that I have completed college, I’m most looking forward to:

Moving to New Hampshire and going to Keene State in the fall!

What I’ll miss most about Three Rivers is:

Going to Three Rivers, I wasn't expecting to be so sad leaving here but I for sure am. I am going to miss working with my coworkers and being at school with them and also being so close to home. Its a bittersweet goodbye for sure.
