2023I am the first in my family to earn a college degree.
YesI wanted to earn my degree because:
I wanted to become the first person to graduate in my family. I am hoping to break generational trends of poverty and provide stability to future generations that will proceed me. In doing so I’ve become a better man, partner, and member of my community.
While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:
My family, including brothers Zach, Kevin, Erik, and Jordan, guidance counselors, friends, and my girlfriend Allison.
I’d like to give a shout out to:
My places of employment at Belltown Discovery Center and Team Fitness. I also appreciate the StoneRidge community for their generous scholarship that helped me get to this point!
What I like best about my degree program and what it means to me is:
I was able to graduate with over 70 credits that were easily transferable to state schools. I didn’t have to take out loans or become in debt.
What I enjoyed most about my experience at Three Rivers Community College was:
Networking myself with great people, meeting others with similar backgrounds, and the affordability that community college provides.
I plan to use my degree to:
Further my educational pursuits at Charter Oak State College. I am pursuing a bachelors in ECE and hope to provide education to the youth of future generations.
Now that I have completed college, I’m most looking forward to:
Being a great early childhood education teacher as well as continuing to run my own business as a personal trainer and nutrition specialist!
What I’ll miss most about Three Rivers is:
The friendly staff, my classmates, and the easy going atmosphere.
