2021I am the first in my family to earn a college degree.
YesI wanted to earn my degree because:
I wanted to open the doors for new opportunities and advancement, professionally and personally. Pursing a degree in General Studies allowed me to venture into different directions without commitments to one sole concentration.
While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:
my family, professors and college staff.
I’d like to give a shout out to:
All my TRCC professors and college staff! Thank you for your support, understanding, flexibility and most of all your wisdom. Each professor has installed a valuable lesson about education, life and the commitment to authenticity. Most of all a big shout out to:
Prof. Costa for installing the urge to travel even during a pandemic.
Prof. Hagen for her kindness, words of prosperity, love for animals and embracing my curious children who love to say "hi" during virtual learning.
Prof. Delaney for making students be self accountable and holding students to higher standards.
Prof. Comeau for making me appreciate the true beauty of the world around me.
Maria Krug, for standing by me when I needed guidance and helping me navigate my educational journey.
Lastly, to Phi Theta Kappa; Alpha Mu Gamma Chapter! Thank you for making me one of your own. I'm proud to have served you as your Vice President.
What I like best about my degree program and what it means to me is:
Having a full online degree program that allowed me to complete my degree from the comfort of my home, go my own pace and most of all be part of be a part of an online learning community. Without this online degree program, I wouldn't have had the opportunity to turn the page and be a first generation college graduate. My degree comes with much honor and progression. It took me 11 years to get to this moment. With my degree, I hope to inspire my children and those around me that education is freedom. With freedom, anything is possible! What I enjoyed most about my experience at Three Rivers Community College was:
Everything! I made the best choice of coming to Three Rivers after failing many times at other community colleges. TRCC was welcoming and embraced me with open arms. The professors are amazing, school staff is helpful, fellow classmates become great friends.
Clubs, volunteer work, organizations that I participated in while at Three Rivers included:

Volunteer Work
I plan to use my degree to:
open new doors for business/employment opportunities.
Now that I have completed college, I’m most looking forward to:
Relaxing and having fun in Disney! Traveling, getting a puppy and most of all for broadening my entrepreneurship expansion goals.
What I’ll miss most about Three Rivers is:
miss being surrounded by people who value knowledge and learning. Thank you, TRCCC!
