I am the first in my family to earn a college degree.

Yes

I wanted to earn my degree because:

Education has always been at the core of my being. My goals for myself have always been distinctly and succinctly based upon my education and getting my education, and while I have big dreams for myself going forward, I will take every small step towards accomplishing said dreams in stride. To be able to achieve my Associate's Degree is one of those steps, and I am so grateful for everyone who has supported me on the path to this.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My mom and dad always were by my side when I needed support and motivation; I cannot thank them enough for all the support they've provided for me throughout the entirety of my journey towards this degree, and I love them SO much! To my sisters, Kate and Kara, thank you for your honesty, your care, your love, and all of the laughs you have provided me. To my relatives, Grandma and Grandpa B, Nene and Pepe, Auntie and Uncle Tripp, and Uncle Steven, the support you've provided me, whether it be a warm hug or the motivation to keep me moving forward and want to make you proud, has pushed me to this point, and thank you so very much for always being there. To my friends from high school, Maggie, Emili, and Gracie, thank you so much for always checking in on me and for the time we've gotten to spend outside of school, for you've made some of my hardest times manageable with your unconditional support. Of course, I would be remiss not to mention the most friendly of supportive and comforting individuals: My cats, Roxy and Morris, my dog, Shiloh, and my fish, Ranulf.

I’d like to give a shout out to:

To my friends at Three Rivers,
Cheyenne, you were my very first friend and the person who gave me hope and motivation for the arduous task that lied ahead of me in my educational career. Thank you for your kindness and for your support, it means much more to me than I can ever express.
Ashlynn, to be able to graduate alongside you will be one of the greatest joys of my entire life. Every laugh, every smile, every shared tear, and every quiet moment of understanding has made my time at Three Rivers some of the most memorable of my entire life. I look forward to our future together obsessing over Jamie Lee Curtis, laughing about absolutely nothing, and being there for each other throughout the challenges that lie ahead.
Jackson, words cannot truly describe just how much our friendship means to me. The most specific way I can put it is that I feel like I'm at my best when we're together, and the motivation and support you give me is irreplaceable. I mean it when I say that you feel like my brother, and I can't thank you enough for your time, patience, and understanding. Long live our collective craziness, alongside our culinary mastery, cinematic critiques, adventures to all corners of Connecticut (and Rhode Island, for that matter), and long talks over wrestling, award shows, and random topics that will only ever make sense to us.
A special shout-out to one of my primary providers of joy within my life, outside of my incredible family and friends, a one Mrs. Jamie Lee Curtis. Thank you for winning the Oscar; I don't think I've cried more in my entire life, and it feels great!

What I like best about my degree program and what it means to me is:

I feel as though, throughout the course of achieving my education and taking the classes I have, I have learned the most amount about the world around me than I ever have in my entire life. While this degree means enormously to me in regard to the work and time it has taken me to get to this point, the knowledge I have picked up in the process will enormously influence my life outlook going forward.

Now that I have completed college, I’m most looking forward to:

The next steps! I will be transferring to University of Connecticut to pursue Journalism, my primary hope being that I may become a professional film critic in my future.

What I’ll miss most about Three Rivers is:

I will miss the calm and cool environment through which I used to do my work, as I practically lived in various study rooms throughout my education here and always felt the most driven whenever I would check out one for work purposes. Most of all, however, I will miss the friends I have made at Three Rivers, and all the fun we would have just hanging out in various locations. To everyone, thank you for the kindness and laughs.
