I am the first in my family to earn a college degree.

Yes

I wanted to earn my degree because:

I always wanted to pursue a higher education. I have loved education and history so getting a degree to help me become a history teacher has always been the goal.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My husband and family have supported me more than I can say. With all my family living in Ohio because my husband is in the Navy, they were always just a phone call away when I needed them. Whether it was keeping me motivated to finish or getting me through a deployment, my family has been everything to me.

I’d like to give a shout out to:

My husband, Griffin and my grandmother, Mildred. Without the two of you I would have never finished my degree and would not have accomplished all the things I have thus far in life. I can not thank you both enough for your endless amounts of love and strength when I needed it the most. From helping my get through deployments to making sure I don't forget to eat when I am so caught up with things, you both have always been by my side. Thank you.

What I like best about my degree program and what it means to me is:

My degree program means everything to me. It's my path to getting the career I have always dreamed of and becoming a history teacher.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at Three Rivers Community College was:

I absolutely loved everything about Three Rivers Community College. I have attended three colleges now and Three Rivers has been the best. I knew I always wanted a smaller college where the professors cared and actually knew your name. I received that and so much more here at Three Rivers. I was comfortable in every classroom that I stepped in and genuinely felt like every professor I had wanted everyone to succeed.

I plan to use my degree to:

I plan to use my degree to further my education and earn a bachelors degree. After my bachelors degree I hopefully will find a job as a history teacher.

Now that I have completed college, I’m most looking forward to:

I am looking forward to more college. I have always loved school so I will be looking forward to earning my bachelors degree and landing my dream job as a history teacher.

What I’ll miss most about Three Rivers is:

I will miss the atmosphere the most. The campus felt so welcoming every time I went and gave me more motivation to earn this degree. I will miss all the great professors and all the friends I made along the way.
