2023I am the first in my family to earn a college degree.
YesI wanted to earn my degree because:
I am the first to go to college from my family. My end goal is to become an RN. Due to family members' health issues in the past, I put my degree on hold and focused on my family. I am graduating with a General Studies degree and looking forward to my future of becoming an RN!
While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:
My family and friends. My family has gone through loss after loss over the years and they have always been there to push me to keep going!
I’d like to give a shout out to:
To my mother for being my #1 fan throughout my struggles. To my guardian angels- I know you are all with me every step of the way. To my son- thank you for growing with me over the years; this is and will always be for YOU!! Love you Makiye.
What I enjoyed most about my experience at Three Rivers Community College was:
Convenient location and a variety of classes that worked with my schedule.
I plan to use my degree to:
Continue to become an RN.
Now that I have completed college, I’m most looking forward to:
Take a break for the summer to BREATH, then back at it in the Fall to continue my dream to become an RN.
I am beyond proud on how you consistently prove that you are the epitome of a mother that puts family before work and consistently exceeds expectations. I am also beyond grateful that you are the comparison that I can use whenever I think or speak of a “Super-Mom”. Your mind, love, genuine spirit, and truthfulness in life sets the standard for how everyone should walk through life. I love, appreciate, and am too fortunate to have you as my guide, mentor, therapist, and older sister.
