New Data Analytics Certificate at Three Rivers Community College
Three Rivers Community College is excited to announce the addition of a new certificate program, Data Analytics Certificate. Analytics is one of the most in-demand skills needed to drive strategic decision-making, and data analytic jobs are among the fastest growing and highest paid.
Students in this certificate program will learn to gather and analyze data, as well as explore tools and techniques to make better recommendations. Employers will also find this certificate program the perfect way for their employees to gain data analysis skills. Whether learners have limited or no statistical background or work with data already, this certificate is designed to afford new knowledge and hone an industry skill set.
Program Coordinator Beth Allen believes this certificate will help people take their skills to the next level. She said, “In just four courses, students will learn to understand and manage data as well as build a foundation in data analysis and visualization. They’ll use two of the most in-demand programming languages in data science. Classes running this fall are Principles of Statistics for Data Science and Intro to Programming, which is now being taught in Python.”
Using hands-on methods, instructors in these four courses teach students how to apply statistical and scientific methods for data analysis, organize and manage data, visualize and understand how to turn data into actionable information, and work with popular data science languages such as Python and R.
The Data Analytics Certificate is designed to be completed in one academic year (two courses per semester) Learn more about the certificate at www.threerivers.edu/data, and email Beth Allen with questions at EAllen@trcc.commnet.edu. Classes begin August 26, and there is still time to register for the fall semester. Enroll today at www.threerivers.edu/enroll.
