I wanted to earn my degree because:

I wanted to finish the degree that I started in my 20's. Now as an adult I have a greater appreciation for my education and wanted to finish what I started. Additionally, I want to show my kids that education is important and that learning can happen at any age.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My kids, Sarah Selke, Amber De Souza, my dad, and my boyfriend.

I’d like to give a shout out to:

Myles and Maci.

What I like best about my degree program and what it means to me is:

The flexibility to learn virtually while being a single parent. This degree has helped me build my confidence and realize what I'm actually capable of accomplishing.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at Three Rivers Community College was:

The support of the staff and students has been amazing.

Clubs, volunteer work, organizations that I participated in while at Three Rivers included:

Cub Scouts den leader for East Lyme's Pack 7.

I plan to use my degree to:

Continue my education toward a four-year degree.

Now that I have completed college, I’m most looking forward to:

Taking the summer off!
