Instructional Methods Definitions

LRON – Live Remote with Online Component (LRON) – Class takes place online at the scheduled time and will be taught over WebEx with a Blackboard component.
Online – Fully online, take at times that are convenient to you with Blackboard.
Hybrid/LRON – Partially on campus, partially Live Remote with Online Component (LRON) – class takes place at the scheduled time and is taught over WebEx with a Blackboard component as well as in person.
Traditional – Takes place on campus. Please note that if a resurgence of Covid-19 occurs, classes will be moved online and students will need access to a computer and the internet.

Manufacturing Pipeline Programs

Three Rivers offers manufacturing training programs that lead to jobs with Electric Boat and other area manufacturers. Career Training Courses Starting in February and March

Three Rivers is offering a variety of non-credit training courses for those interested in expanding their skills or changing career paths. Registration is still open on the 10 courses below. Whether a person has the goal of learning new skills, reinventing their career, or personal enrichment, taking a non-credit course will fit their needs.

Medical Billing and Coding Program

International Classification of Diseases 10-CM (ICD 10-CM) – Tuesdays, February 19 – June 4. Registration deadline is February 12.

Understanding Health Insurance – Thursdays, February 21 – May 30. Registration deadline is February 14.

Medical Coding Examination Preparation – March 7 – June 20. Registration deadline is February 18.

EKG Technician Certification with American Heart Association Basic Life Support – Mondays and Wednesdays, March 4 – May 13. Registration deadline is February 25.

Certified Nurse Aide Program (CNA) – Tuesdays and Thursdays, March 5 – May 28. Registration deadline is February 26.

Real Estate Principles and Practices

What are Real Estate Principles and Practices?

This course is designed for anyone interested in a career in the world of Professional Real Estate and those who desire in-depth knowledge of the industry.

Course Description

This 66-hour program is required to qualify for the Connecticut Real Estate License Exam. Course material is covered through a lecture-style classroom experience supplemented with textbook assignments and exercises.

Forms of Ownership
Fair Housing and Ethics

Certification

Students who intend to sit for the State of Connecticut Real Estate PSI Exam (at a separate and additional cost) must pass this course with a grade of 70 or better and attend a minimum of 66 classroom hours of instruction. Students cannot miss a class. All Real Estate courses are approved by the Real Estate Commission under the auspices of Three Rivers Community College. Therefore, approved courses for Three Rivers Community College can be found on the DCP website under the title of Three Rivers Community College. www.ct.gov/dcp/site/default.asp

A final grade of 70 (C-) or higher is required to pass this course.
